Re: 2003 Vibe oil consumption teardown and fix

Sure - here's the view from under the car. There's a bolted in crossmember there that holds the front engine mount, and I just pulled the 4 bolts for it and pushed it over toward the trans a bit to get better access to the rod bolts. The oil pan is shaped such that it would come out without moving ...

Re: New oil leak

I will look into that. Thank you. :) I'm thinking of just redoing the oil pan sealant since I think it looks like the fresh oil is leaking there, it's definitely an old seal, and I don't see fresh oil in any surrounding areas (other than the splatter issue). Re: New oil leak

Hi. Thank you for the replies. Finally got some pictures of the problem. I purchased in 2018 at about 125,000 mi. It is close to 150,000 now. Repaired and have new problem

Hi. EDIT: It was the intake manifold gasket. I also changed the throttle body gasket. Replacing these fixed the problem. I have a 06' pontiac vibe FW AT Base. I had a p0171 check engine code showing, and got air wouldn't blow unless going at higher speeds. First i cleaned, but ended up replacing mas...

Alternator mounting bolts

Hi Edit: Went to the junk yard here and pulled it off another vehicle as my soution. I just replaced my alternator and am having some electrical issues still, I'm going to make another thread on that, but wanted to maybe replace the mounting bolts as well. Parts are discontinued, so I'm curious if a...
