Re: 06" Vibe Clutch (Hayman)

Uh-oh, does this also applies to the '06 GT as well? And when you say "least forgiving" does this means that it has a greater chance of stalling ?

Manual AWD5 speed auto GT with manual shift modemaybe a larger 4 cyl (The 2.4L from the old Camry ?) for the base FWDABS on all models (it's VERY dangerous without them especially in Canada )

When you say "Get ready for lift", is it when the sound changed suddenly in pitch at the beginning of the clip when you're hard on the throttle ?

Last Friday, I when to the dealer to get my oil change. (pretty much straight foward ) Instead of sitting down in the waiting room, I wander off to the showroom. I saw and sat in a base Vibe 5 speed and a GT. Of course, without starting the engine, I pretented to drive by holding the clutch on the f...

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who's learning the dreaded stick. I guess I don't have a choice because the GT is a 6 speed only!

About the 1zz-fe engine

Is it true that this engine doesn't like to redline all the time ?(e.g. shifting gears at 6000RPM) I've heard that if pushed too hard, it will start to burn oil. I thought that DOHC engines like to rev unlike their OHV counterparts! I'm not saying that I will shift at 6000RPM but more in the 3000-40...

Re: New member here (MiVibe-ToolGuy)

Yeah, I've noticed that My Sunfire has 135lbs*ft@3600 RPM and the Vibe has 125lbs*ft@4200RPM. This should be a problem for me at least because I'm kind of person who likes to rev (Not all the time otherwise my gas bill will be enormous! ) and that's why I went from US to Japanese-based engine My par...
