Re: 04 Rear Subframe Shot

It has been confirmed that the subframe is done. Nicole is upset and doesn’t want to deal with it, I think I would fix it, but it seems extra hard to find a solid subframe. Anyone have any leads?

Re: 04 Rear Subframe Shot

Hey guys and gals, I just got a text image from my girlfriend of her drivers side rear wheel slammed inward about 15° negative camber. Damn! Reading through here I got curious to know more about the “early 2009” mentioned. Is this only identifiable by VIN, or do they just mean early as in 2009 but ...

Re: Lowering springs

So just a set of stock FWD springs will lower it 1”? That sounds ok. Has anyone confirmed this? Yes, several. The Rally Vibe GT is running AWD springs, since it sits higher. My brother put AWD springs on his FWD so it sits higher now too. But they all run the same struts? Is the ride height listed ...

Re: Trailer Hitch

Hey guys, I’m trying to mount a U-Haul hitch on my gf’s 2005 AWD. I bought it used from a guy with an ‘05. All the listings I’ve seen don’t separate the FWD and AWD, but it is right on the muffler and I don’t think it’ll go on. Well, that was silly! The U-Haul hitch is a two hole unit, and I was tr...

Re: Lowering springs

I believe http://www.canuckmotorsports.com/ has lowering springs for the AWD. As far as I know, the FWD springs should suffice. However, it would drop the AWD even further than a FWD. The AWD Vibe sits about 0.50-0.75" higher than the FWD. So instead of a typical 2-2.25" drop, you would l...

Re: Lowering springs

I searched for two days before my initial post and have been searching for three days since. I have found that Manzo springs are listed for Matrix AWD/FWD. I have found that the AWD may like stiffer rear spring rate.

Not only trying to decide between those two, I don’t even know if they’re applicable
