I jsut did this a week ago... The easiest thing was to pop the drivers side door foot panels out enough to run the wire under there and the driver's side rear side plastic panelwhich includes the rear most piller to the roof(only 4 bolts to remove this super easy)...I started at the rear of the car ...

I'm sure others know better, but you may need a different wire harness or at least ECu and maybe a TCU* if you swap in a 2WD transmission...but mechanically it should not make a difference if you just left it off you could drive it all day long forever without doing anything to it really you'd jsut ...

Shipping prices to canada and local prices seem crazy up here for Vibe Parts, but these parts are readily available for Toyota Matrix and Corollas. Can anyone confir...
