Re: Hesitation/Misfire/Hiccup around 3800 RPM with AC on, under load. (Mase)

I don't know if it's a misfire or not...Not sure how else to describe it. You know how sometimes an older car may have a rough idle? It's kinda like a single instance of rough idle, but under load and at 3800 RPM. It could be an A/C compressor thing...but I don't really gain power. It feels like a 1...

Hesitation/Misfire/Hiccup around 3800 RPM with AC on, under load.

Does anyone else have a slight hesitation/hiccup with the engine when their AC is on? I usually get it when accelerating, and most often see it in second gear since that's the only gear I normally hit 3800 RPM under load. It is almost like a small misfire or the AC compressor is going off/on. Pretty...

With that big of a turbo, it's really only good for drag racing, too. That's not a very streetable turbo size for that engine - it'll take so long to spool that your low end will be horrible.Jason

Prudent used car shopping and knowing the values of the cars you're looking at is the best way to go. Also, having cash in hand or being pre-approved lets you jump on those perfect deals when they come around. When I was buying my Miata I fought with lots of dealers on prices of their used cars. One...

I didn't get anything fancy for options - just the power group package. But, from what I have heard that really isn't an option since every one seems to be built with it.Jason

New Vibe Owner - 2005 Salsa Base

Hello!Today I just got a new 2005 Base Salsa Vibe! I originally started this morning with a test drive of a 2003 Black GT. I wasn't super impressed with the VVTL-i...maybe it wasn't working right, but I expected more when you cross over into lift - something more akin to hitting VTEC in an Integra. ...
