2009 GT Auto, Lost power to wheels, now wont start.

Good day, Yesterday I was traveling to work getting on the freeway on ramp. When my car went to upshift the car lost all power to the wheels but the engine rpm shot way up. The motor was running fine when I turned the car off. Now when I try to start the car the starting motor will turn at a constan...

Re: 2009 2.4 donor engine compatibility.

What about sensors and the ECU. Is there any compatibility issues depending on what year the donor motor is from?

I didn't even think about the AWD being different. Thanks for bringing that up.

2009 2.4 donor engine compatibility.

Good day I am replacing the engine in my '09 Vibe GT due to a spun rod bearing. I know the Toyota Matrix, Toyota Corolla, Toyota RAV4, and the Scion tC all came with the same engine but do all the cars have the same mounting points, electrical hookups, sensors, ect. Is there any other difference bet...

Re: OEM Vibe GT 18" wheels vs. 18" Enkei Falcons

Greetings, I really like the spacing of trb's mustang wheels on the Gen 2 Vibe. I'm looking at getting a new set of rims for my 09 GT. How do I figure out what offset I would need if I wanted to run a different width wheel but have them stick out the exact same amount as the mustang rims?

Re: Anyone Ever Have Snow Caked in Wheels Cause High Speed Vibration?

I sometimes have an issue with snow/ice accumulation in the wheels off my 09 GT, I have a window ice scraper that's on a long stick that I use to knock the ice out.

Re: 09-10 GT header?

How significant of an effect do you think the Megan Racing headers would have. Especially if I intend to have the ECU tunned?

Re: 2009 GT - No PS, ABS & Brake Light, Guages not working...

I didn't find any history; but changed the tires, brakes, oil, plugs, battery, and had the trans pumped and refilled. A squalling serpentine led to an afternoon of "fun in the sun" replacement. I swapped out the broken-knobbed stereo with a bluetooth one. Right after that, we took the car...

Re: TireToast's 2009 Vibe GT | The TireToaster Mk II

Thanks for the advice, I'm trying to exercise my work connections to find a cheap set of rims for winter. I also considered getting these rims for summer and using the stock in the winter since they have some road rash and minor corrosion, but they still like so nice even with their minor flaws. P.S...

Introduce Yourself They Said, It Will Be Fun They Said.

I bought my 2009 Vibe GT with 89,000 miles because my previous car was getting up there in miles and I need to have a reliable car to commute to school and work. I will chronicle my adventures with the TireToaster Mk II in my garage.

No modifications of my own yet (car had aftermarket remote start when I bought it), but I want to carpet the cargo area and add some side stripes to cover a small paint blemish on the passenger door. I'm also considering getting a set of winter tires and rims.
