Re: No rear audio (binkman71)

Holy crap, I figured it out!Yes, I did have rear speakers with the amp. No, no sound from them with the diagrams here and in the metra kit. Why?My amp wiring didn't follow those diagrams for the rear speakers! Oddly enough, all the input channel wiring matched. The right and left front speaker wiring...

Re: No rear audio

Ok, I did this bypass after obtaining the 70-2056 harness kit. Here's the thing...I get no audio from the rear speakers. Zip. Nada. Not even static or other such noises. 2004 Vibe, rear speakers work when hooked up to the amp (these are new speakers). What gives?K.

Re: iTrip

I have an iTrip for my iPod. While in my previous vehicle it worked great, in my Vibe it is horrible. The biggest issue being, as an FM transmitter, the Vibe's antenna is on the far rear of the vehicle. Items such as the iTrip don't have a tremendous range, and while it worked, there was much interf...

Re: R.D.S. in Michigan sucks (esjones)

Well, I think you'd have a hard time proving distraction anyway. You are, at best, expected to keep your eyes on the road, and not fiddle with your radio. Plus, the radio stations probably have better (and teams of) lawyers that the average consumer can't touch. At any rate, what I find peculiar is ...

Re: Did some further digging (binkman71)

The Schosche box worked! Thanks, Ragingfish. Cheap and easy, though cheap is appropriate since the first one broke. But the replacement worked out just fine...So this is an easy way to avoid bypassing the amp and replacing all the speakers.K.

Did some further digging

Raginfish mentioned this Scosche product in an old post that you can hook up between your stereo's outs and the wiring harness for the car http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...age=2"...It may be under the model numbers SLC-4 or FAI-3A. Either way, how it works is, you connect the head unit's output...

Installed new stereo...

...now, much like some of the other posts on this board, I get a really nasty hiss out of my tweeters. 2004 M&T vibe. It really appears to only be the tweeters and is exceedingly noticable when playing a CD or listening to Satellite Radio (Sirius, for you curious types). This annoys the (removed...

Re: Ok, without disassembling much of anything... (Kari)

I did it! THanks for the help here. Basically I think I probably combined a couple of the responses here. Put the antenna it the back right corner, ran it down through the weather stripping of the hatch (which I pulled away and restuck to the car -- gooey mess that lot), through the passenger side r...

Ok, without disassembling much of anything...

...how do I route the antenna wire for my Sirius radio receiver into the 2004 Vibe I just bought?I tried the weatherstripping, but man that stuff is on tight.I tried the gaps between the roof and the plastic (interior, forgive me if my terminology is incorrect) walls, but could only get it into some...
