Does the one they ordered in look like the below switch? https://www.autozone.com/electrical-and-lighting/clutch-pedal-ignition-lock-switch/duralast-clutch-pedal-ignition-lock-switch/362178_0_0 While slightly different in design, both appear to have the same connector. This is for a brake light swi...

Re: original clutch switch parts discontinued '06 Vibe

Bypassing the switch altogether? Yes .... as long as you're the only or primary driver. Out of habit, you're going to press the clutch in every time you attempt to start the car so it should be no big deal. You're not the original owner I take it? Somebody must have changed it in the past prior to ...

Re: driving across country and dealer vs oil can henry's

My advice would differ slightly from chiadog's. Having just driven 3 cars all the way from coast to coast, I would recommend taking the Vibe to a trusted mechanic for a coolant flush, or at a minimum, for $100 or so, have them do a once over safety check. Getting your coolant flushed if it is due, ...

Re: driving across country and dealer vs oil can henry's

My family owned and ran a Pennzoil Oil change shop for 11 years. There is zero difference in the service being done to the car except price and maybe the brand of coolant. However, please make sure you know whether or not the Oil Can Henry's does decent work or not. Look up online reviews, talk to ...

Hi there! I am moving across the country from Portland, OR to Athens, GA at the end of the month. I will have a bag on the roof rack and stuff in the car, my cat, and my travel pal. I'm wondering if there is anything I need to be aware of/have done before I leave. My '06 FWD manual trans vibe has 14...

WTB stock crossbars for '03-'08 vibe

My car did not come with crossbars and I'd like to install some oem bars simply for keeping a cargo bag on top for moving across the country. Message me if you would be willing to part with yours. '03-'08 will work.

Towing my stuff across country?

Hi there, I'm considering moving across the country from Portland, OR to Georgia in my '06 Pontiac Vibe. It is in great condition and has never broken down on me. I keep it maintained regularly. It has about 130,000 miles on it, most of which I put on there. Manual transmission. It has a towing capa...
