Re: How dangerous is this BURNED a/c blower motor CABLE

Thanks again, all, for the help on this.

Finally got around to swapping the cable out tonight. Also swapped out the fan as it had been making a strange noise, possibly related to orig cable but hard to tell.

Man...not easy working under that dashboard!

Vibe on.

Re: How dangerous is this BURNED a/c blower motor CABLE

Thanks SeattleJeremy...I may give it a try then.

Double checking, it's not this part? https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts ... s-88970281

Or is that the cable that actually plugs into the resistor?

Thanks again, y'all.

Re: How dangerous is this BURNED a/c blower motor CABLE

Thanks all, so far. While I've watched the youtube videos on replacing resistors and the blower motor itself, I don't think I can replace wires/solder. Any type of car shop you recommend for that? I imagine GM or Toyota might charge a crazy amount. Should I look for an independent Japanese shop? Ie....

How dangerous is this BURNED a/c blower motor CABLE

Hey all... So, a/c blower motor stopped blowing (all speeds). Tried replacing the resistor first, didn't fix problem. Went to remove blower fan itself and noticed this cable was burned. I tried cleaning some of the corrosion, plugged it back in, and it's now blowing again... But is it safe? If not, ...

Re: Removing a dent...in the shape of a hitch

Nice friend you got there. They clearly didn't creep slowly until impact ... BUT full force! Anyways the bumper skin will need to be removed and then possibly using a heat gun (or any other source of hi temperature heat 300-400'f) with the bumper laying flat on a steel bench or other non combustibl...

Removing a dent...in the shape of a hitch

So...I let my roommate borrow my car. And he rear-ended someone. Didn't do any damage to the persons hitch. But it put a dent in my front bumper, right where a front license plate would be attached. Any tips on removing this dent since it didn't go all the way through? Thanks y'all! https://farm1.st...

Re: a/c fan stops and starts at random...help!

So I had ordered a new fan and resistor from Amazon before inspecting everything. I disconnected, used electrical cleaner and compressed air to clean the connections. Put the old fan back in...and it worked again...it seemed like a lose connection where the cable plugs into the fan. I unplugged it t...

Re: took the passenger seat table top off today

reviving this thread...

anyone know if you can put a passenger seat backing on the driver seat back?

Reason I ask, somehow I broke the springs in the back of my driver seat and now they poke out, possibly injuring passengers behind me...

thoughts?

a/c fan stops and starts at random...help!

Hello all. I tried researching to see if anyone elses symptoms matched mine, but I didn't see a similar case yet. Sorry if I missed a thread about this... I replaced the blower motor in May of 2014. Also fixed the interior circulation "clicking" problem at one point. This new problem is co...

Spark Plug Inspection Cost

Howdy forum. I've been a happy vibe owner now for a couple years now. Bought the car with around 60k, just passed 100k and decided to have some maintenance done, not knowing if it had ever been done. Opted for new serp belt, trans flush, and cooling system service. Went to a shop I'd gone to before ...
