Re: 2.4L Sepentine belt removal/Alternator/ (2009-2010)

i just went thru this today on my 09 base with 2.4. i put car on ramps and removed the plastic lower engine cover on passenger side. that exposed the lower passenger side of engine. with a 1/2 drive breaker bar and 19mm socket i was able to get on the tensioner and remove belt tension. removing old ...

if it were me, first thing i would do is run codes and go from there. in mean time i would do a compression check. if compression in spec on all cylinders then most likely will be ignition problem. i would then check each cylinder for spark, if one cylinder has no spark replace coil pack/spark plug....

i put one on my 09 and was super easy. holes in frame are already pre drilled n tapped from factory. you may need to clean the threads before installing but thats it. just hold up into place and bolt on. the wiring is easy as well. just install into left rear tail light and run power wire to battery...

looks like plenty of room in front on condenser for a trans cooler. it's wide open in there, and trans lines have very easy access so adding a cooler should be pretty easy.

i doubt i pull the klr very often, most of the time i will have a ktm 300 on trailer, which is about 200lbs lighter.
