Asking $300 for all. http://www.greendiamondtire.comAlso, I have two other sets of snow tires mounted on steel rims to sell if a...

Re: WTB: OEM wheels?---- Yes, I have some!! ;-)

Hi,I'm in Ottawa. I have a set of Vibe OEM rims on which I have Green Diamond 205/55R16 snow tires mounted. The snow tires have about 9000 miles on them and were about $125 each. I will be moving south later this year and was planning on selling them but hadn't gotten around to it yet. I was plannin...

Re: Parts Source Brake Rotors (chevelle_lover)

Excuse my ignorance because I don't know much about mods etc but I have a question about brakes. Lately, when I brake there is a vibration which I presume is from warped rotors like I've experienced with other GM brakes in the past. (I have about 19000 miles on my Vibe.) What are the advantage of th...

Re: Winter Tires (WaveAction)

Green Diamond on the Vibe. Michelin X-Ice on the Saturn.Blizzak on the Forester. All seem to work well for what we've encountered in Ottawa the last two winters. I especially like the Green Diamond on the Vibe which I got from NY. The X-Ice and Blizzaks were ordered on rims, mounted and balanced from...

Re: The changing of the tires (~MRVIBE2006~)

I just got my winter rims & tires swapped yesterday. They say that winter tires are needed for cold temps and not just when the snow flies so I decided to go ahead now. I haven't seen mention of what they consider cold but I figured I'd beat the rush since I have them put on at the tire store. (...

Re: (wolfsburg_de)

Hi Wolfsburg,If you are eligible for the employee price there is no need to keep it a secret. Actually, it is better just to be upfront about it because the dealer is required to give you the price without any monkey business. That said however, you might come out better by letting them know you are...

Re: We are rare. Fellow AWDers, tell me about your AWD. (Toyotiac)

Hey Toyotiac!Take a look at the Goodyear Triple Tread Assurance comments on the Tire Rack website. People seem to love 'em and their ratings indicate they think they have good traction and treadwear longevity. They're supposed to be 80k mile tires. I've always dealt with Discount Tire and they gave ...

Re: We are rare. Fellow AWDers, tell me about your AWD. (drunkenvibe)

I've got a lava red AWD with moon & satellite tunes package. Wish I had the power package too but didn't have any choice since there was only one red AWD in the state of Florida. Added Enkai rims, weathersby (naah, that's not right but I can't think of the name right now) rubber mats. All ready ...

Re: (Shane1V)

As I recall, the AWD's engine is dumbed down to 123 horses from...what was it....130 hp in the standard version and obviously more in the GT? So when you drove the AWD you were test driving the model with the least power. I have an AWD and am very happy with the ride, handling, and the thought that ...

Re: Automatic Transmission Service (chrisblues)

I think they're just wanting to make some extra bucks. Just being dark is normal after it's been in for awhile and you made no mention that they said it was burnt. If burnt that is another issue. If just dark then there should be no reason that you should change it. I switch to synthetic tranny flui...

Re: Click and Clack on Vibe oil change (joatmon)

I prefer using synthetic oil and changing oil and filter every 5,000 miles and have been doing that for quite a while. If I weren't using synthetic oil, or if most of my driving was short trips, or if I were a person that didn't check oil level periodically, I would follow the 3,000 mile schedule.

Ohh, is the snow pretty much done by the end of Feb? Lol, I thought the snow would keep coming in Feb, Mar, and even April. I traded the Goodyear oem Eagles for their Assurance Triple Tread which is supposed to have lot better traction so if I don't have to worry about much more snow after moving I ...

Re: Here's an article to get you "in the mood" for Ottawa (vibe-04)

Hahahaha....thanks for the article post. It was an interesting read....also the other weather related articles linked. Ok, I'm convinced. I ordered some Enkei rims today for my "summer" tires and will use the oem steelies for snow tires. And I will either have the local dealer install the ...

Re: (Atomb)

Yes, it must just be standard on the northern Vibes...I don't see any block heater on mine. When you say you don't use it, I presume that implies that your Vibe isn't just parked inside all the time? ;-)

Need advice on moving from Orlando to Ottawa

Yes...hahaha....I'll be moving in Feb or so and have some questions I hope somone will answer with regard to my 2005 AWD Vibe. ;-)1) Do I need snow tires in Ottawa? I have the 16" oem steelies and have been thinking about getting some aluminum rims at the local Discount Tire store and then orde...
