Air Conditioning/Heat not working

On Wednesday I took my car ( a 2004 Pontiac Vibe 212,00 miles) to get cleaned afterwards the A/C would not work. When I turned it on the fan did not come on, there was no air, nothing. I tried putting the heat on and it was the same thing. Same as the defrost. Also when I pushed the AC button, the g...

Drivers Side Window Won't Close

I have a 2004 Vibe with about 203,000 miles. Since last night the Drivers side window stopped going up. It will go down all the way and go up about 3/4's of the way but it won't go completely up. Does anyone know what happened? I should also note that the two rear windows won't go completely down.

Re: Vibe overheating, battery light on, won't steer

Where do you live? Also, I think it's more likely that if you overheated it, the head and/or block would warp and the headgasket would cease sealing correctly. If you're very, very lucky, this will just have been an unusually exciting day for your engine and it will forgive you. Just keep checking ...

Re: Vibe overheating, battery light on, won't steer

Watch your engine motor oil level over the next month or so. Depending on how badly the engine got overheated, and it does not take much, you could have ruined the piston rings and the motor will start burning oil. By over heating, the piston rings loose their tension and do not seal like they shou...

Re: Vibe overheating, battery light on, won't steer

It was the belt and belt tensioner. It cost me $155.00 in parts, $125.00 in labor $280.00 total.

Re: Vibe overheating, battery light on, won't steer

Trust me I'm not driving it. I left it in the parking lot of a gas station and got a ride home. Hopefully it'll be fixed today.

Vibe overheating, battery light on, won't steer

While driving home from work, all of the sudden my car started overheating, the battery light came on, and when I went to pull over the steering locked up. When I opened the hood,I noticed the reservoir was overflowing with coolant. Does anyone know what caused this? It's a 2004 Pontiac Vibe base mo...

Rattling noise in 2004 Vibe

I've noticed recently there is a rattling noise in my 2004 Vibe which seems to be coming from the passenger seat area. When I'm going slow I don't hear it, but if I'm going 50+ mph its pretty loud. Anyone have a problem like this or know what's going on?

Heating and AC delay

::Sigh:: If it's not one thing its another. After I just got the car fixed I'm having another problem. There is a noticeable delay from when I turn on my car's heating/ac to when it actually comes on.Today my air conditioning finally came on 5-10 minutes after I turned on the AC. Could it be the fan o...

Re: Overheating issues

I just wanted to give you all an update. It turns out the radiator, waterpump and thermostat needed replacing. It's no longer overheating. I just hope when it comes time to be inspected that that won't cost me an arm and a leg.

Re: Overheating issues

I checked the engine again and I haven;t noticed anything significant. Yesterday I checked the oil and it wasn't foamy or coffee colored. I took some pics of the engine, maybe you all will notice something I missed. The pics are at this address: http://www.flickr.com/photos/88366173@N03/" oncli...

Re: Overheating issues

I checked around the engine bay, the problem is where I live (Richmond, VA) its raining and its pretty wet out. So I'm not sure if any wet spots are caused by the rain or a leak.

Re: Overheating issues

I haven't noticed any wet areas before.Of course today its raining where I live, so there will be some wetness today. I just had the oil changed almost a month ago if it was foamy would they have said something? Also I check the oil before and I did not see any foam coming out.

Re: Overheating issues

Have you looked for a coolant leak? Check under the car after running around awhile. First you need to figure out where it's leaking from then come up with a game plan for repair. From the sounds of it your water pump and/or the thermostat is going south. If you had excessive amounts of "smoke...

Overheating issues

I have a 2004 Vibe. My problem started March of 2013.I was coming home from the grocery store when I noticed the temp gauge was at the "H" mark, also I noticed the AC would delay coming on. I put some coolant in the radiator and it was fine for a few months, then in June I noticed the temp...
