Re: average age of vibe owners....

I will be 31 next month. And since the Vibe is technically my wife's, she will be 30 next week.So I will only vote for myself, since she will probably never actually be on the message board...ChrisLansing, MI

Re: (Merzbow)

I agree. Something simple like MI Vibes. I also feel that "Motor City" may be used a little too much. Plus most of the people that replied back as being interested are not in the Motor City area.Just my opinion...ChrisLansing, MI

Re: ServicePro Complete Premium Antifreeze Coolant. (jake75)

OK, on Sunday had the stock stuff flyshed out, and replaced with the common "green" stuff.I will be regular about flushing the coolant out every two years, and will certainly let everyone know if I have any problems along the way...ChrisLansing, MI

Re: Power Lock Kits for All doors and Lift Gate (sylvainber)

Trying to not high-jack the post, but I do have a question...Just bought my Vibe GT used, and it did not come with any key-fobs. It does have power door locks. Can I just buy a key fob remote and have it re-programmed to work my doors/gate/glass???I noticed that Autozone is now selling remotes. I am...

Automatic or Stick Shift?

Stick shift, most definitely!!!I have owned plenty of both. My first real car was a stick. My wife could not drive a stick shift vehicle when we first met. Her father tried to teach her several times, but he would get frustrated with her, so she never really got the handle of it. When we met, I had ...

Re: ServicePro Complete Premium Antifreeze Coolant. (jake75)

So, just to try and clear this up in my head...My 2003 Vibe GT "should" have the pink Toyota coolant in it. (Although it doesn't exactly have a "pink" color to it by looking in the radiator.) That being said, my car has 50,000 miles on it, and more than likely has never had the c...

Re: Which oil do you use? (ragingfish)

Bought the car 2 days ago (2003 Vibe GT). Oil was pretty dark on the dipstick. That didn't really matter. I always change the oil/filter when I get a used (new to me) car.Went with Mobil 1, 5W-30 pure synthetic. Also, couldn't get an AC Delco filter at Autozone, so I tried the STP brand, S4967. Look...

New (to us) 2003 Vibe GT in Lansing

Bought my wife a 2003 Vibe GT two days ago. It is the Shadow color, and I think the major option is the Moon and Tunes package (according to the 2003 brochure that we have). So far the car is great! I miss having a manual trans car. My wife says she does also. Hopefully it won't turn to difficult wh...

Re: (ragingfish)

No, there was a cap with a small diameter spring that put pressure on the filter element. There was a ressed (spelling?) area built into the block where the filter element rested. There would be a small pool of oil in the bottom of the ressessed area, but no oil that would run out. By far the cooles...

Re: (TRD4reel)

I owned a 2002 Cavalier LS Sport, 5 spd that had the Ecotec, for about 15000 miles. I thought it was a pretty solid engine. 140 HP, 150 FT/LB of torque. It wasn't the quickest thing in the world. I loved the oil filter location. It was on TOP of the engine! Made for very easy oil changes. The best p...
