Re: How to get rid of P0420 using spark plug anti fouler

I am planning on swapping out the OEM header for a 4-1 ratio. I have been reading a lot about this mod and hope it works on my 09 2.4L FWD. I will post once I'm done.

Re: Antenna Issues

Still have the factory radio and I'm not sure if it has been messed with at all. I have had the car for a year now and i purchased it with 78K miles. Was thinking of just replacing the antenna eventually or swapping out the factory radio. I really appreciate all of your input, thanks everyone!

Re: New to GenVibe

I'm loving the sound my Vibe is putting out now with just the short ram intake and cat back exhaust. I am really interested in seeing how much HP I can pull out of her, that's why I’m looking at swapping the header. I would prefer a 4-2-1 ratio which is more mid-level and wouldn't drastically chan...

Re: Antenna Issues

We live in the city and it's effecting AM and FM stations. The reason i know it's an issue with the reception is because our other vehicle gets great reception from the same radio stations we listen to in the Vibe. For some reason the stations come in very poorly and in some areas not at all. I was ...

Re: New to the Forum! Question about Gas Efficiency

I have an 09 Vibe 2.4L FWD with a 13 gal tank. I recently added a short ram intake and wanted to see how many miles to the gallon i am getting. Over the last 3 tanks I'm averaging 26 MPG and that's a mix of highway and surface streets. I noticed a slight dip in fuel efficiency after adding the short...

Antenna Issues

I have an 09 Vibe, has anyone else had issues with their radio reception coming very poorly. Our other vehicle gets reception just fine but the Vibe is always horrible.

Re: New to GenVibe

Those are some pretty WICKED Vibe's you have there! Funny you ask about painting the heat shield. I had been planning to paint the heat shield the same way you did but have decided to swap out the header for a ceramic coated one which will not require the heat shield any longer. http://i937.photobuc...

Re: New to GenVibe

Thanks! Yeah the intake has made a big difference with the performance. No check engine lights at all, but it did take a few days of driving for the computer to adjust to the new air flow, it had a rough idle till it adjusted. I actually just finished painting the engine cover and fuse box cover glo...

Re: 2010 Vibe GT

Nice looking Vibe! I have an 09 2.4L base model. I really like the style of the GT's and wish the base model had the same front bumper and trim. I have made a few mods such as Spectre short ram intake and a full cat back exhaust. Next on the list is to swap out the header and steel rims. http://i937...

Shopping around for headers

Been looking online for a new set of headers for my 09 2.4L. Noticed the Scion TC has more options when it comes to price and performance. Is there any reason they would not work on my Vibe? Example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/180977771021?lpid=82" onclick="window.open(this.href);return ...

Thanks everyone! It is very much appreciated. Clean is what I'm going for. Nothing too ostentatious. Brandon, here's your close-up!I was initially going to use this to cover my front Pontiac arrow, but I decided against it. Its better to show off the classic now-defunt arrow! Re: New to GenVibe

Welcome to GenVibe! I'll eagerly await those pics. How is the noise with your exhaust? Rims should be easy for the 2.4l, as they have a much more common bolt pattern. Enjoy your time here! After installing the new intake the exhaust has a better sound and a deeper rumble. Along with a set of rims I...

Re: new to genvibe.com. front wheel replacement?

If you know someone with a impact wrench you can possibly get the nut off that way, sad to say you might need to cut the bolt to get the nut off and just replace the stud afterwards. The few times this has happened to me it was Discount Tires fault and they replaced the stud free of charge.

Re: Buying Tomorrow: What To Look For?

Definitely check the tire tread. When i bought mine the tread looked good till i did a tire rotation and found the inside treat was worn due to the tires never being rotated. I found out quick enough and had the dealership buy me a set of new one's. Also, the battery dies on me the day i drove it of...
