Re: I need new tires

. Being in Canada and knowing their wide range of winter climates, I'd recommend: For summer's 8-9 months, use full set of rims / Rubber. Rubber is all season - since wet spring and wet fall months is hydroplane risk. For winter's 4 months, use full set of black steel rims / rubber. Rubber is Goodye...

Re: 2010 Vibe - need rust protection?

Thanks for your feedback.

Based on your feedback, I did some google surfing and also noticed there wasn't too many "rust problems" posts for the Vibe model.

Thus, supporting your post.

Thanks again for your feedback.

2010 Vibe - need rust protection?

. My region is now entering winter snow/ice months - where lots of road sand / salt is used. I can buy rust proofing spray for $100 or save the $100 (and take the risk). We plan to keep our Vibe for another 7-9 years. From your view, does the 2010 Vibe's underbelly design need rust spray protection?...

Re: 2010 Vibe - 1.8L auto / recommended DIY stuff?

Nice. I like it. Would consider for my own Vibe but it would get in the way of the rear hitch. Looks like you are a Pontiac family from the photos. For our GM van, I installed extra lights under its rear bumper as well. Being our Tow Vehicle, I installed both running lights and combo brake/signal l...

Re: 2009+ TPMS disable

The spare is supposed to be filled to 60 psi to actually be used as a spare. I'd be kinda worried that would damage the TPMS sensors since they're designed for 2/3 of that at most. Opppssss. My Bad. I forgot the spare is a small donut on the Vibe. On my previous vehicle, its spare was a real tire. ...

Re: 2009+ TPMS disable

Nice write up.... If one doesn't like removing dash panels and taping resisters into factory wiring (like me), there's another "work around" to disabling the factory TPMS. Actually, it does disabled it. One simply fools it by ensuring all 4 x sensors are within normal pressure range. Steps...

Re: 2010 Vibe - 1.8L auto / recommended DIY stuff?

. A few days ago, I completed the extra rear lighting install on my wife's Vibe. If wondering, its a little ID bar installed under its rear bumper and it automatically turns ON when its running / clearance lights are turned on. Re: 2010 Vibe - 1.8L auto / recommended DIY stuff?

. Thanks for your tips about factory floor mats, factory muds flaps and factory low beam lighting. While picking the vehicle up, we bought factory mud flaps and their generic winter mats (and hooked the driver's mat into place). Since I bought at dealer, they also gave me a nice discount on each as ...

2010 Vibe - 1.8L auto / recommended DIY stuff?

Hi. My 1st post. My wife & I recently bought 2010 Vibe with 1.8L auto transmission. If wondering, it only has 32,000 kms (20,000 miles). Will be driving it home this Tuesday. If wondering, it's our new local "drive about" vehicle and majority of time, it will be used for max 2 adults. ...
