Re: question re: snow tires/rims (djpositivek)

15 inch rims for a cav/sunfire will not fit over the front brake caliper you have to use one with the right offset to clear. I bought a set that are made for a dodge shadow 15x6 and they fit over the caliper fine the ones I had at home for my cav/sunfire would not clear the calipers.

Re: (Raivis)

I got the same manual that they use in the dealers. It is two books and if you want to fix your vibe you can do anything with this manual the only problem is it was expensive I think $100.00 if you want I will try to find the link to the place for you

Re: winter driving (dante)

well thanks to all for your input.I forgot a few things first I have a Brand new set(4) of Michelin Hydroedge tires on my Vibe.It is a base fwd model and the back end started the slide.I think with the 10-12 inches of snow we also got some ice first so that is why it started to slide.I was going aro...

if you bought the car on the GM discount plan (if you work for GM) then you can forget about sueing gm for anything. When you get the discount one of the things that you sign away is your right to take them to court read your fine print. Re: Typical life of a hydraulic clutch? GT (MadBill)

I will tell you what the problem is. GM powertrain has no say in the powertrain of the Vibe it is made in Japan by toyota and they have the say on if it gets fixed under warranty or not. I hope that somebody takes a look at the claims soon and tells them to fix it.

Re: K&N typhoon short ram intake (satur9)

yes auto trans it sounds like a vacuum with the hood open not as bad when it is closed and from the inside of the car but it is still a lot louder then with air box and I did not notice that big of a change maybe with a manual trans.

K&N typhoon short ram intake

Bought a typhoon short ram air intake for my 03 base vibe.installed it in about 20 minutes and ran with it for about 2 months. Took it off the other day sounds like you have a vaccum cleaner under your hood and no power increase that I could feel. They say that dyno tests see a 5-7hp increase I like ...

Re: Exhaust (damronjr)

well all of this is nice to know I thought that the borla was a cat back system I still love it but I am going to get a AWD in Dec so maybe I will put a magnaflow on this one. My wife wants my 03 Vibe she loves it. I found that the best price so far was $395 for it on line is that a good price?

Re: Re: (TRD4reel)

The borla hooks up at the flange behind the cat two bolts and it is in they call it a cat back system unless you want to cut the pipe behind the cat but why would you want to do that and I think it sound real good.

Re: GXP for '05? (badmojo)

the problem as I see it is that they would have to do a major overhaul with the vehicle. The ecotech is a bigger engine then the vvti and they would need a new trans to match up to the car the one in the vibe now would never hold up to the 205 HP that the ecotech with the supercharger will put out.

Re: Typical life of a hydraulic clutch? GT (NSimkins)

I work for GM powertrain in there engineering department and happen to work on clutch systems and as a rule they are made to go a lot longer then 30,000 miles. My last S-10 pickup went over 100,000 miles before I had to change the clutch. This all depends on how hard you are on them, do you do lots of...

Re: Re: (TRD4reel)

I put a Borla exhaust on my 2003 Base model and it took me only about 15 minutes.it is a easy bolt on. the only thing is its a little expensive about $400 but it is a life time warranty so if you plan on keeping your vibe like me it will pay for itself in no time and it sounds great and runs better.
