Re: Wheel wont come off ??!!

Probably you should go to the trouble of cleaning the mating surfaces on the hub and rim before you re-mount them. If the wheels are corroded in place, the corrosion will be thick enough that the rims may not bolt on flush and straight. It's a very unpleasant job to clean them, but if you keep them ...

Re: Who's repainted their Vibe?

If you go to the Nusolis website http://stores.ebay.ca/NuSolis?_trksid=p4340.l2563" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; you can get a full front end clear protective film kit custom cut for Vibes for about $40.00. This is a cheaper version of the somewhat costly 3M stuff. I'm sat...

Re: Looking for AWD with Stabilitrac

The 05-06 4WD (THEY ARE NOT AWD) DO NOT have VSC . And I doubt the 09+ has AWD also but I do believe it has the VSC Technically I think the awd Vibe is a "slip & grip" awd. It's normally fwd, until the car senses front wheel spin, and then transfers some power to the back wheels. I be...

Re: Looking for AWD with Stabilitrac

Funny how ever since I became interested in Vibes, I see them all the time now. The power matter isn't a big concern for us. Any modern car has adequate power, and the horsepower race is not doing anyone much good except the manufacturers. For better or worse, as we contemplated the difficulty of fi...

Re: Equipment Details of AWD Models

Along the way I've figured out that all the AWD models have an AWD badge on the hatch. The 2005/2006's with VSC/Stabilitrac have warning lights that show up when the ignition is turned on, and a Traction Control off switch in the lower left corner of the dashboard. This will help a lot because ads o...

Looking for AWD with Stabilitrac

Now that the informative participants here have helped me sort out which model year AWD Vibes had which features, the next step is to find one. And that seems to involve a very basic 2-way choice. Since I want VSC/Stabilitrac, which comes with several other safety features, the choice comes down to ...

Re: Equipment Details of AWD Models

Thanks for the excellent feedback. That's the sort of info I was looking for. I'll update my "list" in the op as it comes in. A question outside the equipment list, is: do the Vibe's engines have timing belts and what is the replacement interval? It's common for people to sell used cars ju...

Equipment Details of AWD Models

I'm probably going to buy a Vibe, and it would be in the Canadian market. On the "must have" list are: - awd - stability control - folding front passenger seat - the more airbags the better I'm hoping you experts on these cars can ensure the accuracy of what I've learned about them so far....
