Re: I think the Vibe throttle tip in is too agressive (Mr. Poopypants)

Right, and don't you think that it is too touchy allready. (You stick shift drivers may not notice this).

I think the Vibe throttle tip in is too agressive

I have a 2005 automatic, and it is havd to feather in the throttle gently enough to accelerate smoothly. I know the manufactures tend to rig the throttle so that when you step on the gas just a little you get proportionally more TB opening. They do this so that the small engine feels peppier, but I ...

Re: (MoonDogg)

I started this thread, but I have been away...My Vibe is a 05 Base, and so it does not have the high compression of the GT. I think it must be somthing in the programming, like ignition or injectors are inhibited for a few seconds ( maybe the second or third count on the crank position sensor).

Re: My 2005 Vibe engine won't fire until it turns over a few times. (ALi3N)

So it's normal then, but why? I would like my engine to start right up when I begin cranking. Anyone have any ideas on this.

My 2005 Vibe engine won't fire until it turns over a few times.

It's brand new and runs great, but it won't just fire off like most FI cars. It always needs to turn over a few revolutions before it will fire. I have tried leaving the key on for a few seconds and then cranking, but this makes no difference. It does not matter if the engine is hot or cold. What's ...

Right, the force of the impact, I hope the salesman was right about this being on the 05 Vibe.

How smart is the passenger airbag on the 2005?

I know it will not deploy, unless it senses weight of about 40 pounds, but the salesman said that it will deploy with more or less force depending upon the weight in the seat. Is this true? Also how about the driver airbag, is it smart or dumb?

Re: (vibepa)

The new drivers seat adjuster is a lever about 8 inches long, on the left side of the seat. It seems to be hydraulic, and you pump the lever either up or down (about 12 strokes). It seems to tilt a little as it moves up and down. I don't think that it moves up or down more than a couple of inches.

I'm picking up a 2005 Vibe tomorrow; Frosty, Monotone, Pwr pkg, Auto, Moons & Tunes, ABS, 16",

MSRP $21305, Got the dealer down to $19,600, another $1,000 off for the rebate, and $1,000 off for Conquest. I love the new drivers seat height adjuster, the new roof rack, the subwoofer, the smart passenger airbag, and the tire pressure monitor. Can't wait.
