Re: My new car...another long story! (PHXLavaVibe)

Congrats on the Corolla! I'd looked at Corollas (among many, many other cars) when I was shopping for a "new" car. IMO the price seems high but after dealing with Toyota's used car lot here in Cookeville, TN I can say that sounds about right. I test drove an '09 Matrix with all the bells a...

Re: (Sputnik)

One doesn't see many Leafs/Leaves ? (lol) in my area. The Prius is a popular choice around here. I don't know if the Leaf could handle the mountains, etc. that we have close by. It takes a lot of "pull" to get up some of these areas. Plus, there aren't many charging stations. Two total sta...

Re: Another top 10 ugly cars list (joatmon)

I don't know which is uglier. The Nissan Cube or the Nissan Juke. One looks like a fish tank and the other has too many headlights going on. Yuck. I think the Yaris is actually cute but too tiny for my taste. The HB Yaris is completely useless. I'd actually considered a HB Yaris when I was still car...

Re: "New" Vibe owner (journeyforce)

Thanks for the info, guys! I'm checking on a salvage that was posted on another thread but if all else fails I'll give GM a ring.

Re: "New" Vibe owner (J_TO_ENVY)

Thanks for the info, dear! Fingers crossed that they have the inserts. It seems most of the new Vibes don't have the inserts. Was that an optional purchase or are they easily broken/misplaced?

Re: That little light that tells you to buckle up!

I always buckle up. My fiance rarely did until one day as we're in his truck coming home from a day on the lake. He wasn't wearing his and when we fish-tailed (going 35 MPH) and hit a tree line and flipped he changed his tune. He was nearly tossed out of the vehicle but surprisingly, I got hurt wors...

Re: (star_deceiver)

Yikes! I would die if mine got that dirty but, then again, the dirt and mud is just the evidence of having a good time in a great car! Can't wait to see how well the Vibe handles this winter.

So glad to see this thread. My rear bumper has a few minor scratches from cargo as well. Definitely need to get one of these bad boys!

Re: Looking for a new camera (vit)

My suggestion would be to go Nikon. I'm a reporter and when I was looking for a new camera the photographer at the newspaper I work for suggested going Nikon. The reason being, he said, was that Nikon uses more crystal in their lenses resulting in clearer, crisper photos. I'm now a huge believer in ...

Re: "New" Vibe owner (tpollauf)

Thanks for the responses, everyone. Yeah, I'm glad the PDR was a cheap and quick fix. I was totally heartbroken to come out of the store to see that huge dent -- about 4-5 inches long and about 3 inches wide. As for finding cupholder inserts in a junk yard that might be nearly impossible. Don't see ...

"New" Vibe owner

Hi, everyone. I've only just recently came across this site. I unexpectedly became a Vibe owner earlier this year. After owning it for roughly 7 months I can easily say that I am in love. I had owned a 2000 Ford Escort ZX2 and after 8 years of throwing money into that money pit I decided I wanted a ...
