My continentals are mediocre in snow & absolutely horrendous on ice. I could not go up a 1 degree incline on ice.

I had a full size gm truck for a trade in. Vibe I got was optioned out exactly like a matrix xr & was the same price. I had $1500 in GM visa earnings. There was a unit that was actually available on the dealers lot!!!!!!!!!!

A base Vibe with a 5 speed manual has lotsa zip after the motor breaks in at about 5,000k. I am actualy surprised on the hi-way when i gear down to 3rd to pass how quick it gets by.

I have 10,000 kilo,s on my base 5 speed Vibe. I am getting 40 mpg. at 110 KMH. This is 100% highway. I get about 36 on a 50/50 mix.

I have 7000 kilo,s (4340) miles on my base 5 speed Vibe. My best mileage has been 40 mpg( Canadian gallon) all hi-way at 70 mph. This is about 32 per US gallon.

I just deep tinted my windows to-day plus temps got up to about 85F. Works way better even on my black vibe.
