I looked in the manual but couldn't find it. Don't know how I'm supposed to see that 1 spec page. Thought they would have put in in the paragraph where they explain the fuel system and what type of gas to put in. Was surprised it's 13.2. First time I ran it down, the light came on, drove it for abou...

New Owner with a question

I recently purchased an 05 Base Model. Couldn't be happier. Sure the interior isn't is nice as my previous Audi, but it's in ALOT better mechanical condition and gets WAY better gas mileage. On that note, what size is the gas tank on these cars? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Just want to know fo...

Situtatuion Solved. My HU was causing the error. In my old car, I had to use line inputs because of the amp in that car. So for some reason I can't get it to reset and not push the audio thru the RCAs.

I didn't look at everything but at quick glance there were at least 3 extra pins in the factory harness that didn't hook into anything in the Scosche harness. For instance, on the scosche, the pins for power, illumination, ground are on the top right and side, i believe there are 4 of them. But on t...

Okay, so I looked at the car harness and it seems there are a couple of extra plugs in there that do not go to the Schoshe harness. I realize there will probably be a couple for extra features and stuff that mine doesn't have but just wanted to make sure they're not needed. Will take pictures later

HELP!! Aftermarket stereo installation

I just finished installing my HU and there is no sound. I read the other post about a similar subject, but he had M&T. I have a base model 05. I did connect the remote turn on, but it doesn't want to work. the only thing i didn't connect is the dimmer wire because my HU doesn't have that feature...

Re: Re: (Chuck McKnight)

Yeah I was also going to mention Kenwood. Alot of their units, especially the lower priced ones are red w/ white text. I understand the aux out. I'm also an Android user and had to buy a special adapter for the aux out on my HU so I can use Pandora. I have a 120GB iPod I keep in my car that has my e...

Anyone know how to remove the lower dash underneath the steering wheel? or do I have to take apart most of the dash to get to it. That little pocket to the left is perfectly sized. I'll probably end up putting it underneath the shifter.

I have an Alpine CDA-105. Don't think you can find it anymore, just recently was discontinued, but similar CDA or CDE models still exist. It has blue buttons but you can change the illumination of those to red. The text in the center is white which matches the instrument cluster. The CDA-105 didn't ...

Question about ipod placement

I recently purchased an 05 Base model and will be adding by my Alpine HU as soon as all of the wiring and parts come in. My question is, where do most of you (if you have one) route the ipod cable. I know the standard place to stash an ipod is in the glove box, but I've never been a fan of that. I w...
