Re: Hi-beams and foglights (joatmon)

Hmm...I wonder if that additional relay trick will work keeping the fogs on even with the high-beams going. It's worth a shot for me! I'll post a follow-up when I get around to it. Thanks alot!Dax

Re: Hi-beams and foglights (Psychobroker)

Well...this was partly an assumption on my part. While I didn't exactly get out and look, I turned the fogs on and off with the hi's on and there was no difference. I'll have to do a formal check tonight. It would be nice if they were to come on, as it really helped a lot on my old truck.Dax

Hi-beams and foglights

Sorry if this has been posted before (tried a search and came up empty). Is it possible to have the foglights stay on when the high beams are turned on? I did a mod when I had my Tundra that let me have them both on. Anything similar for the Vibe? Thanks!Dax

Re: (thor)

Interesting, i've been getting 29-30 MPG since I bought my base 2wd. With gas prices going through the roof, I was very glad to get rid of my Tundra. The only quirk i've had with mine so far is that the paint on the radio trim is coming off pretty badly. But, I plan on fixing that with my own paint ...

Yeah, I forgot to add that. It's the silver trim piece around the radio. I didn't know if this was a common problem or not. I'll just have to take it in and see what they say.

Radio Trim

Does anyone else have a problem with the trim around the radio flaking off? I noticed a small 'scratch' on mine on the very bottom skinny part so I decided to rub it to see if it was really true. Lo and behold, the paint came off faster than a lottery scratch-off. Now the whole bottom is pretty bare...

M&T wiring question

Ok...here's the deal. I'm installing a HU and 4ch amp soon and I want the amp to replace the M&T one under the pass. seat and reuse the stock speakers. I'm going to run my own power and ground but want to use the existing speaker leads going from the M&T amp instead of running wire all the w...

Re: Intake question (trdvibe)

Yeah, living in Texas has it's perks I guess. At about 1.30 a gallon, 22 gallons for a fillup (about) it comes out to be almost $30.I didn't have a 4x4, but I did have a 4x4 Tacoma before that. I REALLY miss that thing. Supercharged and all. Much fun!Dax

ok...so where is the cheapest place to buy the AEM CAI? Also, how is the filter? I've always been skeptical of K&N and the lack of filtration tradeoff with higher flow rates.Dax

Re: Intake question (trdvibe)

I have a base version. Shadow in color, M&T, ABS, aide-airbags. It's taken me a bit to get used to the lack of midrange torque compared to the Tundra. But each time i'm at the pump I get a smile on my face when I see I spent $15 instead of $30.Dax

Intake question

Hi there! Well, it's been a week with my shadow vibe and I love it. It's another world going from a Tundra to a compact car. Anyway, i'm already ready to mod the thing . On my short list of things I want to do are stereo upgrades, putting a REAL horn on it (can't stand the Roadrunner sound effect), ...
