Thanks for the replies. I would assume since this car is aimed at the "young" car buyer that GM/Toyota would take that in consideration and would limit the revs so you can not blow the engine.

Only did it twice. I just wasn't quick enough on my shift...

I took my Vibe GT up to about 8300rpms and it felt like the gas cut off. I guess thats the rev limiter. Anyway I was wondering if thats going to shorten the life of my engine.Thanks
