Re: Cosmo SRI & Crank Pulley - 2007 Vibe

I have installed both an SRI and pulley on my vibe and I have to say that I love them both. I noticed a pretty significant performance increase (I can't attest to the hp gain though). I installed the SRI myself which was very easy to do. Just make sure you disconnect your battery and be careful with...

Re: Throttle Contoller

That's exactly what I thought but I read all these rave reviews on it so I looked into it more. Apparently there is a delay in opening the throttle on drive-by-wire setups. The throttle controller removes the delay (depending on what setting you are using) which results in quicker acceleration. Ther...

Re: Really slow launch in 1st gear and bogging in 2nd gear

Not sure if your car is equipped with VSC but if it is try turning it off. I noticed a very slow start in first gear as well (sometimes dangerously slow). Turning of my VSC solved the problem for me although I do tend to spin my tires more...

Throttle Contoller

Has anyone installed a throttle controller? I found some posts on them over on Toyota Nation and the guys there seem to love them. I've found 3 manufacturers that make the controllers for the 2zr-fe engine (Pivot, Blitz, Weapon R) but of course none of them have a Vibe listed. Any help would be appr...

FYI - Pulstar Iridium spark plugs (BE1I) do not fit in base 09 engines, even though some sites claim they do. Found this out the hard way...

Re: (star_deceiver)

No codes and very respectable numbers on the seat-of-my-pants dyno! I was really shocked to see that much of an improvement in acceleration. The SRI is quiet during normal driving but is pretty loud when I gun it. It does have a nice deep, throaty sound though. Also sounds great with the throttle bo...

Re: (midnight)

I have an '09 1.8L and got this SRI: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...oriesI love the thing -- definitely improved performance and it sounds great! Easy install too -- just make sure you disconnect your battery and are extra careful with the AP sensor.

Re: (DiveNut)

@beemerphile1 - I'm no expert but from what I understand the TBS is not designed to reduce heat, it is designed to increase airflow by speeding and spinning the air. More air = more power. The whistling (I'm assuming) is from the increased airflow. It's mostly noticeable right when I step on the gas...

Re: (Kincaid)

The only downside to it that I can see is the noise it makes as the throttle body opens and sucks air. It's very noticeable and I could see how some wouldn't like it. I guess the same can be said for other aftermarket parts like an intake or exhaust. Personally , I'll take performance over a quiet r...

09 1.8L Throttle Body Spacer

Hi all, I just installed a Helix throttle body spacer (# 97188) on my '09 1.8L a couple days ago. Just wanted to report in, in case anyone else was thinking of this mod. Installation was incredibly simple although I have an SRI -- not sure how easy it would be with a stock configuration. After I fir...

Re: 09 1.8L CAI Help needed... (Dave532)

Just wanted to report back.... Just got my intake: Weapon-R Dragon Ram Air model # 805-164-101. Installed in about 30 minutes. The thing sounds great and gives a noticeable performance boost (only going by what I feel -- no dyno testing). I would definitely recommend it to someone in my same shoes. ...

That pentagram looking star would be enough to turn off just about anyone with any type of religious background. Unless your only looking for business from pagans or wiccans I would lose the star.
