Re: 06 Airflow selector does not go to VENT position

Well I managed to get the 2 (electrical and wire) unplug and finally got the unit in my hand.

After inspection it seems a small bit of plastic somehow got inside the vent knob mecanism and prevented the locking to occur in the VENT position.
Everything is OK and working know.

Re: 06 Airflow selector does not go to VENT position

OK - I've gone a bit deeper - managed to disconnect the control wire (from the airflow knob) and the selector still does not want to go to the VENT position. This seems to indicate the problem lies in the knob mecanism rather then the set of levers that open/close the air passages. I'm currently sto...

06 Airflow selector does not go to VENT position

Title says it all. I've looked under the dash and see the cable going to the levers/bellcrank - I've tried to gently pull the cable to get it to go to the vent position put it does not want to move as it comes close the Vent position. I will first make some test to see if it makes a difference over a week - since I was normaly always leaving the selector to the next to last position (which include defrost...

Vibe 2007 - fan puts high load on engine

I owned a 2003 Vibe but on the 2007 (same configuration), the fan (even at low setting - no AC) seem to put a large load on the engine/electric system.Waiting at a stop light, with the feet on the brake, turning the fan ON puts somewhere like 200RPM on the engine, you feel the strain put on the engi...
