Well I managed to get the 2 (electrical and wire) unplug and finally got the unit in my hand.

After inspection it seems a small bit of plastic somehow got inside the vent knob mecanism and prevented the locking to occur in the VENT position.
Everything is OK and working know.

I've looked under the dash and see the cable going to the levers/bellcrank - I've tried to gently pull the cable to get it to go to the vent position put it does not want to move as it comes close the Vent position. I'm trying to see if there is something more that I can do before...
