Hey tonyn1, did you ever get a solution to this power outlet problem? I, too, would like to charge my cellphone overnight. Like you, this is the first car I've ever owned where the power outlet was switched. Any suggestions? Thanks, Thomas

Hey Joatmon--Just finished reading this great discussion, and was all set to tackle this project when I discovered that my 2008 Vibe doesn't have the power outlet in the rear console between the seats.
