Oil Change - which one to use?

Post by me_myself »

My 03 Vibe has 105000 miles on it. The service center where i usually go to do the oil change have been using Valvoline 5W30 on my car.Should i stick with it or should i change the oil to castrol high mileage? Please let me know which oil (brand/type) should i use? Thanks.

what that manual states. I think its 5w-30....but i havent done a vibe oil change in months so i dont remember. I just used what was on sale at the store or what was in my dads garage. for a filter I used purolator filters.EDIT: opps guess i only read the last sentence. IMO just stick to the standard 5w30. Oil these days is WAY better than it used to be.

I'm not an oil expert but if it were my car, I'd stay with the regular 5w30 unless you're experiecing oil consumption between chnages.

If you want to change, change to synthetic, it's never too late.
