Hello fellas. I finally have some money and im starting to mod my little vibe. Im starting with the Intake then eventualy ill get an exhaust as money premits ( or should i say as the Woman premits).Im comming from having an eclipse with an aem cai and a apexi dunk exhaust. So for the intake im staying the same i like aem products they may be a little bit more but you get what you pay for. Ive decided to get a blue Cai with a water bypass valve (can naver be to safe) and before i actually order it i have a few questions.1. Of you that have the Aem system have any of you experianced a CEL. When i had my eclipse the cel was always on and i dont want the one on in my vibe it drives me nuts2. When installing is it a good idea to remove the battery? Theory is that when the cai is installed and the battery is put back in that it will self adjust for the new air flow. Ive herd it on many forums to take the battery out whan installing an intake and then after the install. Start the car up and let it idel for 5-10 min to remap and adjust for the added air flow. 3. Im adding a water bypass valve but is it really needed. In my eclipse the filter was only inches above the ground and in the winter i was worried about it becoming a big straw and sucking up all kinds of **** from the road. Is that a concern i should have with the vibe or is the filter well protected by the fender and inner wheel well splash shield? Thanks for your time!

Honestly, the AEM is the cheapest next to the Cosmo Racing intake. And about the bypass valve, you will only need it if you go through stuff like this:http://img.photobucket.com/alb...s.jpgOther than this, you're good to go. And for the battery, you have to remove the battery to do the intake. So, yeah. Anymore questions, feel free to ask. There are a couple of people here with the AEM. I would ask them what they think of it.Inder
