Using a crossover or a filter, it will send higher frequencies to one pair of speakers and send the lower frequencies to another pair of speakers. Then you have the rear pair for a total of six speakers.I think the stock speakers have filters attached only to the two satalite speakers.

You have a built in crossover in the amp. When you change your radio, my suggestion is to change all of the speakers also. And run a crossover yourself. What a crossover does is shows the radio that there is still only 4 channels working on the radio.Inder Singh

6 speakers is 2 tweeters up front that run along with the 2 front door speakers, and the 2 rear speakers

Yea basically it breaks down like this. Your front speakers are broken into seperate components. Meaning your tweeter are taken away from your cones. This give much better sound imaging. So your radio is still only running 4 channels (front right/ Front Left/ rear right/ Rear left) but the front set is set up with crossovers. sending the high frequency signals to the tweeter and the lower ranges to the woofers. The easiest way to upgrade this is to maintain that imaging with the new system. Since I highly doubt the stock 200 watt amp is resualble with after market decks you should look into getting another 4 channel amp. And then get a set of nice cross overs for your tweeters. You shouldn't have to upgrade the speakers just yet. Considering how new they are and the fact that they we're designed to handle the 200 watt amp to begin with. However if you can find a way of using the 200 watt amp (I've only had my vibe for a month now so I haven't really checked things out yet on how it's wired in) You might get lucky and only need the HU. If you need any help I have a bunch of "How too's" in car audio on my personal website. (some of which I wrote myself other of which are just plain good sound advise) I'm a real big stickler on making sure only correct info for car audio gets posted. So many guys out there that try to pass of like they know what they're talking about and end up costing some poor kid a grand or so because they gave out bad advise and he blew his system up.
