Ok, i noticed that the manfacture date on my GT is really old, so i challenge all you, my fellow Vibers, to surpass my manufacture date.PS: the manufacture date can be found on the sticker on the driver door sill as a month/year number.My 2003 Vibe GT 'Ellie' was born April 2002 ...how bout you???

If I recall properly (I did check the door sticker today) it is 7th month of 2004.That still pretty new !

Mine was first titled in May 2002. My VIN ends with 16,xxx, so there were over 16,000 Vibes built before mine. It's late and I don't want to wake the neighbors checking the 'born on date' right now. EDIT: BORN 05/02

My baby was born on my birthday, in October 2002.

IIRC, yours was made somewhere around the big dock worker's strike out west... I remember hearing an interview on NPR with someone over at NUMMI. They had to stop production because parts like transmissions coming from Japan were sitting off the coast... I can't remember how long the plant was idle...Mine was made a month later, in November. I wish I could find the exact date my car was made... Anyone have any ideas on that? Do folks at the factory still hide build sheets and various other paperwork somewhere in the car like they used to? I found something under the back seat of my Malibu, wasn't a build sheet, but it did help me figure out the date it was built.

I can't remember how long the plant was idle...Yes, it was, and I expected a delay because of that (which was fine because my lease on my truck didn't run out until December, but 0.0% financing and no payments until January 2003 made that not matter)...but apparently my car must have already been on the line or something, because I got it sooner than they expected. Took delivery 10/31/02. Ordered in late August, though. They estimated 8 weeks when I ordered it, so it was about right.If it was an order, then the build date should be somewhere on the paperwork. Also, we've had build sheets in the glovebox of all three of our Trailblazers. But my uncle works at the plant in Moraine, and he said they aren't supposed to leave those in the car.

Didn't order mine, just bought my baby right off the lot in 01/03. So, not a clue so far to its actual birthday. So that's why I've seen them put those things in some odd places... I discovered the one for my first car ('82 Monte Carlo) when I pulled off one of the inside panels for the quarter panel trim to do a bit of interior work. lol

Yeah, they have to add something to it at each step along the line, so I'd say it gets stuck somewhere and they just forget it's in there. We've always found ours in the glovebox though. I think maybe one was in the console. They're pretty cool though. My uncle was able to look at it and tell us what time it came off the line, what kinds of tests it was selected for, etc.

born on 03/?/03We adopted it on 05/03/03 exactly 2 months after it was born.

born Nov 26,2003 and adopted Dec 29,03it took 2 weeks to get here from the build date and it then sat on the sold row till that wonderful day in dec when I took possession of it.

I did too, even with getting mine in October '02. People were starting to catch on, and I'd get a lot of people saying, "Yeah, that's a cool car...how do you like it?" Or "What kind of car is that?" It was kind of cool...sometimes I miss it. Heh.

Well my husband drove Lulu before I did but she was purchased in march of 2003

You probably mean born in August 03. Mine is a 05 and the date in the door says 08/04.

Mine says 01/02...so iam guessing jan 02......it is old i bought 2nd hand and it now has over 70,000kms on it.......works just as good as the 2004 demo i took out.........love this car.

My 2004 Salsa is January 2004....got her when she was just three months old!

just checked the # on mine....(00349).wow i got a really old one......one of the first 500 made.......like i said over 70,000 kms on it and just as good as the day it rolled of the line

Well my purchase date was September 19, 2002.

mine was born in sept 02 and i got it in feb 03 and it now has 45,000miles on it and it still looks like a show room vibe!

Born in 5/02, bought in 4/03 with 200 miles read...I noticed it a couple months after I bought it, and was just a little concerned that it was sitting for so long on a dealer's lot...

This makes me wonder...any idea how many of the manufactured Vibes are Base, AWD, and GT? Would be interesting to find out the ratio.

i think the ratio is about 30/15/55 with GT/AWD/Base

I was not even close, mine say 08/02..and that makes me happy because I bought mine 09/02, which means I got it fresh out of the oven

03/03 the same month I totalled my '01 grand-am gt. I think it was an oman.
