Does anyone know how to replace the bulbs in the GM steering wheel radio controls? I know the air bag is in the wheel so I'm a little nervous about doing anything major in there. Do the buttons just pull off, or what?

I would leave that kind of service to your dealer if you don't have the proper procedures for disabling SIR systems available. In addition, most of these cars are NOT user friendly when it comes to accessing the innards of the steering wheel...

you have to change the whole switch to change the bulb... all one unit. Depending on the vehicle, you can just pop those out, unhook the harness and buy another switch. I could be wrong when it comes to some of them but I have changed the switchs on Lesabres and some of the other buicks and thats how it was.

Tanx for the info. I'll contact my Pontiac dealer for the price of a new switch assembly. I'm sure my daughter's Firebird is set up the same way then.
