I don't know if I'm calling it the right thing, but I noticed that a few places sell a rear strut brace for the Celica. Has anyone seen something like this for the Vibe?

Are you talking about a rear sway bar?

I think he means something like this:However, in the Vibe, I don't know how easy it would be to do being the strut tower is covered by the plastic?I think I may have heard or seen something like this on a Matrix somewhere, but I cannot find it anywhere.

Yeah Nick, that's what I was thinking of. I was reading about them for the Celica but haven't heard of them yet for the Vibe.

But wouldn't we want to look for something that was made for the Corolla and see about compatibility that way instead of the Celica?I don't think the Celica's suspension setup is the same as the Vibe/Matrix. It has an independent rear setup. The only problem, if applicable, with installing this on a Vibe/Matrix would be the bar going right through the middle of the cargo area. If you can still manage with that, then it's no problem... I guess it's something that needs to be tested for viability.I would still like to see something like this installed on our vehicles however.

I completely agree that it would have to be made just for the Vibe/Matrix. I was just curious if such a thing existed.

I searched all the forums and search engines I could and found nothing in regards to a rear strut brace for the Vibe/Matrix.I did find a cool Rear Under-Brace for the Celica (even though it's independent suspension and a Celica):http://www.clubcelica.com/tech/rear_brace

J.C. Might have something that would work or might be in the works. I'll see if I can find out.

Here is a thread about HyperMotive.net in Hanover, PA that was looking for Vibe to test a rear strut bar on:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=322

Hotchkis does not offer any thing like that... Like it said , it's a rear support brace for the control arms.... A simple bolt on that is intended for more rear support... But that's where Hotchkis comes in and puts a rear sway bar...
