can anyone tell me what the 2 sets of wires under the passenger seat are for? both aren't connected to anything, they just come up out of the carpet.

Since you're Vibe has the moonroof, it probably came with the "Moon & Tunes" package, it would have come with a moonroof and a 200W amplifier under the passenger seat. My guess is that the whoever put in the Pioneer head unit removed the amp and bypassed the factory amp and speaker wires, but left the factory amp wires in place, and those now unused amp wires are what you see under the passenger seat.

if you have the aftermarket hu you dont need the amp all it does is cause problems because you are sending an amplified signal to and amplifier so you get some whacky volume problems and distortion
