has anyone heard anything about this? I read it in Forbes.com review of the Vibe. I'm thinking its just rumor or speculation. The article/review is fairly old (Jan 21, 2002).http://www.forbes.com/2002/01/21/0121feat.html"In corners the Vibe GT is almost identical to the base car and, although the lower wider rubber gains a bit of cornering agility, stiffer springs and shocks--even lower wider tires, and perhaps beefier sway bars--would make the GT really scream around bends. Yeah, that's an old story. I wouldn't believe them about a higher output GT this fall. They claim in the article that you can buy the Vibe without the plastic cladding. When in truth, it's still plastic cladding, just painted body color. Forbes know about money, not cars. If you want real info on cars, stick here or with other places that deal with just cars like Motor Trend, Car and Driver or Road & Track.

I think the article may refer to the possibility of the TRD supercharger option for model year 2004 or in the fall of 2003.

When i went to the vibe member meeting they were talking about coming out with a v6

hey LocDog, did they say what timeline they were looking at, or is it just something theyre throwing around at this point? Just curious.

v6 shmee six...unless it's the 3800 series out of a gtp, i'm not having it. it would obviously have more low end, but i just love the high revs and lift of the 4. i, along with quite a few other people in here would rather see true perfromace parts for us and have them offered as an option. plus the v6 will be heavier. gm is looking for a performance kick. that's plain to see. they have already brought out the supercharger for the cavs and sunfire(2.4 and 2.2 ecotec) i'm sure we could be next on the list for performance parts!

While I was at the Tarrytown, NY Vibe meeting there was a clear (but not official) message that a blower is in the works for the Vibe.

No one there was really sure tho... it just seemed like a rumor.

I also had read some very misleading info as how they compared the GT to the Base automatic model, I tried 3 different pairs prior to my purchase, both auotmatic and 6 spped manual, there is definately a major difference dont get fooled, also I found some time ago in carpoint, the comments posted from the so called"Pro" test driversagain innacurate IMHO.
