Dual 2-12in subs w/box good deal?

Well im not in the market for subs but is this a good deal? My bros b-day is coming up so this might be something to look into.. It just seems like a good deal.

Not really. They sound okay, but I installed those in a 2002 Tahoe with a Bazooka amp, (properly matched), and the subs tore up in less than a week. Try one of the party packs at Circuit City. There's an MTX with 2 12"s, and like, two others. They come with box, subs, and amp. You just need the wiring.

So they suck. I guess thats why they were $149 including box.

Not a big fan of Dual's myself. Don't think that are good quality subwoofers. So, yeah.Inder Singh

The MTX setup is pretty strong for what you get. It's not a bad starting point, because you can use the box with new subs, or a new amp. I've had a problem with this sytem in one vehicle, which was probably the vehicles fault. But i've installed a few of these with no problem, and good results. I'd reccomend getting the Cityadvantage plan with it. Yes.. it's $70, but it protects the whole system for four years in case something goes wrong with it.
