I voted "wouldn't recommend" because the one shown clearly is not for a Matrix/Vibe! With only a picture to judge by, we need a pic of the real parts.

Never heard of it here and only found one instance of it mentioned over at MO (link) - Hayame looks to be JDM-style parts, but doesn't seem to be any buzz about it anywhere.

I wouldn't recommend it either. The mandrel bends look nice, but if it really comes in that many sections that means there are 3 joints that are prone to leaking. The metal ribbon wrapped around the cannon for the hanger looks kinda cheesy. Canister-type exhausts are usually very loud too and can easily sound bad, but that's just preference.

Well, since I'm an inquiring mind... I asked the 3 people that actually *bought* the exhaust what they thought...Hey...How did your Hayame Catback work out on your car? I'm seeking opinions of people that bought them before purchasing one myself...How's the fit and finish? Easy install? Did you get a complete kit? Do you think you got a great deal, or are you wishing you'd paid more for a 'name brand' catback? Thanks In Advance!Jonathon Barton'03 Pontiac Vibe GTDenver, COWe'll see what they say...

Naw. I actually ended up buying the Magnaflow. I love the way it sounds and performs . I really can tell the difference in low end. It really opens up around like 3000. Sounds mean! But yeah, I never went with this. Don't know who has either.Inder

Hayame is a good company/brand, although it's a Japanese company that isn't too large in the US at the moment. The seller doesn't know what he's talking about, however, as he got the years of the car's production wrong, as well as the name of the model of exhaust.Hayame never made a Ver 2, nor even a Ver 1 for that matter. The new exhaust from them is the Generation 2 exhaust. Specs are as follows:T304 Stainless SteelComputerized CNC FabricationLarge radius smooth mandrel bendsExposed micro TIG weldingPrecision cut billet flangesSilencer accessory includedThe model of the Hayame Performance Geneveration 2 cat-back exhaust designed for the Vibe/Matrix is HAY10.12.50
