You can get a protective silicon xSkn for it that's really thin and will protect it as well as color it. This is the thinnest model they have, and the one I like the best out of all the ones I have. You can also get an iShades screen protector to go over the screen, or just use PDA screen protectors, or leave it alone. I like the rubbery surface because it makes it easier to hang onto.

Look at this. Just about any color you want for a standard iPod.http://www.colorwarepc.com/pro....aspxTheir quality is reported to be excellent, even protects the screen from scratches. Also for $49, they will paint your existing iPod any color.

if you can set aside the 'iPod rage' that has been going around, take a look a the Dell Digital Jukebox ... i picked one up last spring and my friend has an iPod and (it's obviously personal preference) I still to this day would never trade!better battery, built in voice recorder, cheaper price, looks just as good with a different design, hmmmm...i like it!http://www.dell.com

The market is not receiving it well due to poor user interface, poor sound quality (by comparison to other players), and quality issues. Dell will not even quantify number of DJ's sold, which is a bad sign. Some sources indicate about 100k sold (which is way below Dell's hopes).

The best quality..i can make playlists on the actual unit no matter where i am...as opposed to the iPod where you have to be at your computer to make playlists. Once I got all my music on the DJ, I haven't had the need to connect to my computer for months!

I can save mine on the iPod too. Once you synch it again, they go into a separate list, but they stay there.
