A few issues popped up: chassis creak + moonroof grinds

I have had a few issues pop up w/ the vibe this week.Firstly, the moonroof is making a grinding noise when in motion....works fine but is just a lot louder than it used to be. Lube it? Where?Second thing is that i have noticed a body moan when the car is uneven. For example when i pull out of my driveway and have one wheel go down the curb into the street and the other three are still on the driveway the whole body makes a quiet creak....and again when i have three in the street and one on the driveway.The other thing i have really gotten irritated with and this issue has priority over the others right now...i really want to fix it. When i am cruising gently down a road (no acceleration or braking) i can hear a metallic clunk whenever the car rides over a crease in the road. You can almost feel it beneath and forward of your feet. I jacked up the car and gave everything a shake.....wheels, springs, struts, sway bar and links, axles.....i can't find anything loose but the noise is driving me crazy. Any insight would be great!-Phil

I would guess that whatever makes the metallic clunk isn't going to be anyting you can identify by shaking to look for movement. Have you done any suspension mods? Maybe something is almost loose enough to shake, but a bump makes it shift.

yeah...ive put two sets of springs on....hotchkis on currently....and have been for a few months. Im in the middle of moving house so in a week i'll have a chance to look at it more in depth.If i can't fix it i'll just deal w/ it...u dont hear it if the radio is playing so its not too bad.....i'll make sure everything is tight of course.....safety first.

I've noticed the groaning chassis syndrome, too. Mine is a used '03 Base, built in May, 2002. I haven't played 'Dukes of Hazzard' with it (much), but maybe the previous owner did.
