Wax, Air Intakes & Rallies

Post by Arc-Element »

Hey everyone, just a few questions for you. I need to put a coat of wax on the car, does anyone have recommendations for a brand or type of wax? Also where can I check into an air intake? Lastly, when will there be another big Vibe Rally. Me and my wife are looking into making a vacation out of it. Thanks for all the feedback.

I waxed my car for the first time yesterday using Mother's California Gold and found it very easy to work with, and the car looks awesome. Don't know about the air intakes...And last but certainly not least... There's a rally in Columbus, Ohio next Saturday. I'm not sure when the next big one after that is, though.

Did you notice much difference adding the Injen CAI & is it worth the price?

CAI are most definitely worth the price! and exhausts are also not a bad way to go either.

There are other CAI out there that are cheaper but I think the prefered brand is Injen in this forum. I know there are other people that will say no its no difference but according to the Dyno tests Inken gets the best gain. Look on ebay first you might find a better deal.

My choice for the wax is Meguires Tech Wax. It is a polymer based system, not carnuba. I have never seen a more brilliant shine.

Thanks for all the feedback.Seems like there are two big meets each year (so far). THe biggest is the Michigan meet, which was last month. There is another big one in Ohio next weekend 8/14. Check out the threads in the Ohio ForumThere's also a thread going in the southcentral forum about trying to set up a meet in the area http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=9883

there is usually small local meets.but you have to check your regional forum.i guess the gm guys are in detroit plus a lot of michigan vibes and in surrounding states that make these meets the biggest.you vibe owners out west and down south need to get on the bandvibe.

Ok just finished waxing the Vibe and I must say WOW! I used Meguiars Gold Class. Very easy to put on and take off. It really brought out the orange. Well worth the money, time and effort. I guess we need to get the south-central region together for a big rally, any volunteers 8-) BTW my father and mother inlaw liked our Vibe so much they went and bought them one. Two-tone satillite silver, moon and tunes. They really like it.

Oh almost forgot; I found a K&N Typhoon CAI for $180. Does anyone know how well these work? The Injen brand is pretty pricey and just dont think my wife will go for that....
