just want to invite you guys to the meet in Toronto on Sept 4. Plan is to get together for dinner about 5:30 or so before the meet. then we will all get together about 7 pm (location TBA in Missauga most likely), and then take a cruise to dave & buster's in Toronto. this is an evening meet and i know it's about a 2 or 3 hr drive for some of you. but it looks like we'll get a good crowd of folks coming from both here and matrix sites. for more info, check out the Ontario forum or events thread. hope you guys can make it! would be awesome to see some of you again! i know vibechick will also be flying back in for this.

Yeah guys come on! What is a couple of hours drive anyways some of us have to drive down 6 hours but it will be worth it

Lets also remind you some flew so come on out! Don't prove us out of towners right that your MI roads are such a pain to drive even you guys don't like leaving the house and actually driving somewhere!

As of now, its looking good. I'm almost positive that my girlfriend and I will be there and Gt-X and his girlfriend are coming as long as he can get the day off.So now its time to get info on hotels. We're gonna come out on sat and stay til mon.

in the ontario forum, i posted info for dredd. he works at best western and can prob get you a decent deal.

I would be interested. Any further info on the location yet? I have only been to Toronto once a long time ago. If someone can get me a street address I can get a yahoo map. Since I am a guy, I must have a map. No asking for directions.

we are working out a plan in the TO forum. i think we may plan to meet for dinner and park all next to each other, maybe a movie and then cruise together to dave & busters for drinks and fun! dredd said the bestwestern is the next exit down from where we will most likely have the meet. so it'd be easy to get to and find since it's right off the main hwys. we'll make definite plans by the end of the week and post it.

Travelling to Toronto obviously measn crossing the border. Does that mean we would need to bring our passports?

if you have it, bring it! driving is different than flying. trust me on that one! i had to learn the hard way. last month, they wouldn't let me on the plane, had to come back in the morning to go thru customs and immigration. if you have your birth certificate that works too. but driving over the border is no big deal, guess they just get a little jumpy when you get on a giant missile!

alright! here's what we have so far!PREMEET:meet at AMC courtney park at 6pm. we can can talk and chat a little before we head out to cruise to colossus. CRUISE:leave AMC courtney park at 6:30-6:45 pm and cruise to AMC colossus (also where Dave & Busters is).DINNER:we should be able to get to colossus around 7-7:15pm. Make dinner reservations (RESTAURANT UNKNOWN STILL) for about 7:30 or 8 pm for all of us. we can hang out together before we all go sit down inside for dinner.AFTER DINNER:after dinner, I figure around 9-9:30pm, we can come back outside, hang out and check out each other's rides (if we were able to bring them). then anyone else who wants, walk over to D&B about 10 pm for an hr or 2. if anyone wants to go bar hopping afterwards, then that'd be fun as well! some of us can't stay out too late since we'll have to drive back home.HOTEL:for anyone who needs a hotel, please let dredd2099 know. he can see about getting you the best deal for rooms at the Best Western by the airport and just one or 2 exits from Courtney park where we'll be doing the premeet.if anyone has suggestions for dinner (and i'm trying NOT to do D&B since they require a large deposit for party reservations) please let us know. we also need to get addresses and directions on how to get to the premeet area and colossus for those who can't make the premeet.for an accurate headcount, please make sure you post in the headcount thread! http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=11921at last count, we have 15 confirmed (as far as i know), 3 most likely's, and 4 maybe's. if everyone can come, that's 22! probably will grow on the MO side as it gets closer. come on guys! you know you want to come!!!!

can you get to toronto from michigan? only way i know to get to canada is niagra falls and i think they asks for a birth certificate at least.wht kind of drive is that.
