i got a vibe for my wife, and i drive my 99 sunfire i guess it's equal i like driving them both though

Yes she got a 2003 Vibe and I got a 2003 PT Cruiser. Other then mine has more power, they are equal. She loves hers and I love mine. Mine is leased for work and hers is not.

no I bought the Vibe for myself (yes I am selfesh haha) but for the gf I had at the time I "almost" got an automatic... thank god I didn't because I am not with her now and still love my car. oh, and love the gf I have now who doesn't need her own Vibe, she has her own. "His and Hers"

no, i got my own vibe and since i am not gay and don't have a wife, i would not get one for her. and since my beau has his own vibe, there would be no need to get him one either! LOL

I think the general idea of the post was missed by a few people, but good to hear the news everyone

but one of the new members said he just got a new/used 03 vibe for his wife. and vibeok got one for his wife.

I was more reffering to the wording. IF you read it a different way it means "Did anyone trade their wife for their Vibe, and do you think you got the better end of the trade?" (Meant as a joke, although a bad one maybe )

the ironic part is that I took it the way you did, and was trying to twist it into a joke. Half expected to get hammered for thread hijacking.Anyway, if a person was looking for a fun economical car to get for a loved one, then the Vibe would be great. If I had a loved one (sniff) and I saw the pics in the "damn good car" thread, i'd want her to be in something that safe.

Owned both the PT and the Vibe together for most of 2003 I can't say the PT had any more power than my '03 Vibe AT (base - not GT). Someone somewhere has the stats on each I am sure, e.g. the 0 to 60 in xx seconds comparisons. Neither are "hot rods" - think they are about equal EXCEPT the Vibe mpg is about 6 mpg better and I have a little more faith in the Toyota parts; and in PT's favor, IMO it rocks style wise inside and out.

Heh, even though the question is moot at this point, I'll still go along with it.I originally got the Vibe for my wife, but when I traded in my Elantra for the Aztek a few months later, my wife just started taking the Aztek to work everyday leaving me with the Vibe....not that I mind, but still...

well i got my vibe for me orginally, then i got married and my wife learned to like it and fell in love from all the stares she got while driving it i guess. as some of you may know, i just bought myself a cool 73 bronco, so we are both happy i think

I got a vibe for my fiancée, but I drive it a lot more than her. Whenever we need to run out for something I jump up and race out the door to the Vibe.But "my car" is a 99 Protegé. It's a fun car, but nothing at all like the Vibe.
