As you can tell from the title I am about to purchase springs for my Vibe for about a 2" drop... anything more would be stupid haha. Anyway anything good or bad about Progress springs from Progressive? I can get all 4 for about $360CAD... A friend of mine has them on his Vibe and they seem to be pretty good but I am just curious if anyone else out there has any experience with them?

Nothing against Progress (in fact I have one of their rear bars on order), but I paid less than $CAN 190.00 for Tein S Springs, and they are about the top rated supplier in Japan. (Granted the drop is a tad over 2", but I'd doubt anyone could tell which was which with the cars parked side by side.)

I agree, that's a lot of coin for a set of springs. Teins are a lot cheaper and have been proven as good by many a Genviber including myself. http://neverenuf.com/index.cfm...id=74 $157.00+ $35.00 shipping Prog $164.00+ $35.00 shipping Tein

Mavrik, I have done 5 spring installs within the last year and the Teins are the best looking on the vibe. I'm still satisfied with my Hotchkis springs.

Hotchkis- make your car handle! The drop in the front is about 2" and the rear 1 3/4. I have about 1 finger of space in the front with the 215-50-17 tires.

Well thats why I don't go to the GTA shops, I stick to the smaller city stuff. Hotchkis? I'll have to look into those today.

I bought my Hotchkis springs through a tunner shop because they only charged me 120.00 to install them. When I had called the dealer or tire shops the quotes were double of that. Remimber that Hotchkis has the highest rear spring rates to help control fwd understeer. The ride is firmer than some but it will make your car handle.

Well I got a connection so that the install might only cost me a pack of beer.

Tein/Hotchkis/Eibach > ProgressEiback = overratedTein = best drop/stance, most affordableHotchkis = moderate drop, best handling/spring rate (IMO!!)At the end of the day, you can't go wrong with Teins...I'd buy them from eBay if I were you for ~$150 US shipped

no, he doesn't want to buy them online. plus w/ customs, taxes and conversion, it'd be about the same cost.
