Has anyone with the Moon & Tunes packaged replaced the factory CD player, with an after-market CD player? I think that the security system ties into the radio! (Hence, the red light) I haven’t yet taken out the factory CD player to see!!….Just trying to get a good starting ground!

It's the theft deterrent system built into the radio to help "prevent" someone from taking it out of your vehicle and installing it in theirs.Thread about radio "TheftLock":

Can you still use your factory 6 disc changer with a new face plate, amp, and new speakers or subs? I don't know much about audio stuff.

Do you mean install a new head unit, speakers, etc. and still keep the 6-Disk deck somewhere in the car so you can still utilize the 6-Disk changer? Almost like having an aftermarket separate 6-disk changer installed in your vehicle?
