Anybody with a 2005?

To anybody owning a 2005, can you please see if the radio will play mp3 encoded CDs? When I first looked at the '05s the dealer told me they can play mp3s but I have been unable to confirm this. If they can, I will be placing an order for a new radio.

You would probably be better off (price wise) getting an aftermarket stereo. Just my opinion.

I'd say go by a dealership with a CD and try it out. As long as they didn't change to the DataBus sytem with the '05's, you should be able to put it in the '04. If they did, you're gonna be outta luck.

I have the m/t package, and it does not play mp3s, nor will it display the track info on the screen.Other Pontiac cars players will, i think they are Monsoon head units for the mp3 players.
