ok, my in Injen CAI is installed but I have a major problem, the rpm's are going back and forth between 1500 and 2000 as it idels, it revs back and forth between the two numbers, doesn anyone know what it could be? Everything seems ok except for that? Any ideas???

Does it do this when your car is cold? If it is, then it should calm down once the car is warm. Make sure also that MAF sensor is on securely. JMHO. Inder Singh

it sounds like the wrong vacumn hose hooked up. to the CAI. thats what mine did.

ok, what did you do to fix it?

did you check to make sure you hooked the lines up right? I know those GTs have a few lines, wrong ones in the wrong place would be easy to do. My base had one line.

my cel is on now too

Unhook the battery for a few minutes and clear the cel. how much different is a gt than the base?

It is quite different from the base vibe, especially the 04 GT with that new smog pump. I'd recheck all your connections. Swirv had troubles with his CAI on his 04 GT...one of the hoses that connect to that smog pump was crimped, causing a CEL. Just re-check everything again, make sure it's all hooked up correctly.

on the short ram i installed on my gt i hooked up the largest diameter vacuum hose that was part of the air box into that spot and capped the rest off. Works just fine after 3000 miles.
