Hey guys, I got a 2003 Vibe GT, I would like to put on some Mille Miglia Evo5's (18x8 w/35mm offset 'I think') and would like to know how wide i can go without rubbing or any sort of bad um....stuff.Would a 245/35/18 fit? Its has the closest diameter of all the tires, just 0.1 inches too short (not bad) Just wanna know if i can install these, or if I'll have to scale down to some 225/40/18's Thanks guys!

There's a topic somewhere back in this forum under Project Big Boots, wherein I fitted 275/40 x 17"s on 10" wide wheels. With the adapters I used, the net offset is ~34 mm. Just the occassional slight scuff on heavy bumps from the rear with about a 1" drop; but it scuffed front and rear with the 2"+ drop produced by Tein S springs. You should be OK with 245/35 x 18", because they are both narrower and shorter. Good luck!

Yes, I will be installing tein springs, Im just a little worried, im having reccuring nightmares about my 93 S10 I used to have that had 295's on the rear and the problems that caused. To be honest, I don't even know if a company makes a 245/35/18, its kind of an odd size i think, have to check it out.

I started my research at the on-line tire stores, such as http://www.tirerack.com and http://www.tires.com. You can input the tire size you're looking for and it will show all the brands that they carry of that size in the specified categories (e.g.: "ultra performance", "all season" or perhaps "all tires") I then looked at the performance ratings comparisons and survey results, etc. for candidates with the right size available, then factored in price to reach a final choice. Then I decided instead to just use the big old Corvette wheels and tires I had had in the garage for years!Update: just out of curiosity, I tried both sites re 245/35 x 18s and found 2 at Discount tire and 3 at The Tire Rack. Now that I recall, the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 they both listed was my choice fore the Vibe.
