XM has better music. Sirius has better sports. Take your pick.

I was on the fence but after listening to the two, I had to go with Sirius, the mix of music and sports is the best for me.

PLUS Sirius will have Howard Stern. For me, that's a big plus.

I wasn't sure what I wanted to get either... But after listening to the previews on Sirius, I was sold. Besides, I'm too go against the grain to opt for anything but the underdog, just the way I am... A big part of me didn't want XM since everyone else has it. lmaoI think Sirius has great music if you have whacked out tastes as I do. I have a tendancy to go from alternative, to rock, to jazz, to metal, to bluegrass, 80's stuff, or to old skool rap in a matter of minutes. I'm far from mainstream, so I found Sirius to be a better match for me, personally... As with everything, your mileage may vary!No matter what you get, it's well worth the investment, IMHO. I feel that regular ol' radio has been ruined by the likes of the gigantic media conglomerates. It got so bad for me that for the last 2 years, I have only listened to public radio (and rarely one commercial, but locally owned station) for I was sick of all the garbage elsewhere on the dial. Let's hope they don't get involved and send satellite radio down the crapper too... Although *ahem* I have read that one of the biggest offenders has a share in XM. I don't know how they manage to do it, but 120 minutes of commercials an hour? Kinda defies the laws of space, time, and whatever, but they still manage to make it so. I hope for all of us, whoever your provider is, that satellite radio remains the great thing that it is!For those still trying to decide, here's an interesting artilce over on Edmunds comparing the two. It shows the strengths and weaknesses of both providers... In the end, they declared Sirius the winner, although XM gave them a darn good run for the money! I recommend taking the plunge into satellite radio if you're considering it. Whichever provider you choose, I'm sure you'll find something to like. I didn't ever think I would get into it, but now I'm a believer (and an addict!)
