Hey everyone,Thought I'd check into gv, since I haven't been here much in the past couple months. I was laid off my job almost 8 weeks ago now, so things have been a little stressful lately. I just started at Costco today for right now, but have another lead with the company I used to work for, so I might be able to go back. I'm taking a summer class, only two weeks to go until it's over! Then I have four classes to go in the fall and then I graduate! I can't wait to be done with school, I'm getting sick of it! All the studying, projects, papers, team projects, everything. I've decided I want to become an officer in the United States Coast Guard, so I'm currently working on my application into Officer Candidate School. I've heard it is pretty competitive, but I hope to make it. I graduate in December, and if I get into OCS I will be off to New London, CT in February (I think Feb.) for 17 weeks. I think about all the great places I could be stationed in, most of them will be along the coast lines anyways, but Hawaii and California would be nice . If I don't get into OCS, I will just try to get a job with some company like I'm currently doing.Has anyone here been in the U.S. Coast Guard? I've heard nothing but good things about it. How's everyone else doing that's in college or recently graduated? What are your plans or what are you doing now?Well, I'll try to keep stopping by every so often.Later,
