Thinking about some upgrades

Hi all. My wife and I own a 2003 Vibe AWD. I think my wife in turning into a speed demon or something, lol. She was asking me how to get more power from her car. I admit, with all wheel, sometimes it's like a turtle in tar. I figured the best place to start was intake, or exhaust or both. We don't want anything obnoxiously loud or expensive. I'm curious where to start as this is totally new to me. I'm a diesel mechanic by trade, so doing the work would be no problem. I just need a starting point. Thanks for any help, CP

Install the GM s/c on that car (and lose your powertrain warantee), or trade it in on a Saturn Ion with the Honda 3.2L 250hp V-6...Pete

Hmm, the AWD Vibe is the most limited for mods of the 3 Vibe configurations. A CAI should help a bit, but there aren't any aftermarket exhausts for the AWD yet as far as I know. The routing of the exhaust is unique to the AWD models so that creates some limitations to producing aftermarket performance replacements.

I'm pretty sure its 240 hp seeing as how my friend has the 2003 Accord V6 with the same engine

Thanks for any help, CP As Pete said above, you can get the supercharger, but GM will turn it's head to you. They won't sell you the supercharger to be installed on an AWD engine, so you'd have to buy it, then install it yourself, or find a non-GM affiliated shop willing to do it. It would also void your powertrain warranty. Greenfire, a Matrix owner, has supercharged his 4WD and so far, AFAIK, has had no problems.Good luck!
