you're absolutely right ArcsVibe!I paid 21k for my Vibe...+7000 + labour + PST/GST = about the same amount of money for a decent sports car!!!The parts guy doesn't think he'll sell 1...i told him i'd check up at the end of the year and find out how many he's sold....funny thing is he's had 1 inquiry so far!

i think that guy's yanking your chain! it CAN'T be that much more than the US!!!! in that case, buy it in MI drive over, have it installed and drive back! you're not THAT far away from the border!

i wonder if there would be warranty issues with that approach....i've dealt with issues like that recently with my heart rate monitor....bought in US (Polar so it's from Finland....???) brought it in to a Canadian dealer and they wouldn't service it!So I had to deal with it during my trip to the US last weekend..

Tabarnak!!!!!7000$ for a SC! They are completly nuts!I paid 24 500$ for my Vibe. If you add 7000$ for the sc and lets say 750$ for labour, your Vibe cost you 32 250$, and this does not include taxes and interest!!!At this price, for few more $ I'd go with a BMW 3 series or a Mazda RX-8.

i was thinking RX-8 also!

About 3 months ago, I heard that GM Canada parts had started wondering why zero SCs had been sold here and upon investigating thought it might have had something to do with the $7,000 price, so they were going to reduce it to something like $4,300. If this was true, the new price should certainly have hit by now....

This is really bizarre! The M/T p.n. was announced at least 8 months ago, and did have a price released, albeit way too high. Also, this $CAN 1,995 quote for the A/T is actually "too cheap" as a logical Canadian price!
